Ramee
Jordan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 20, 1928.
His Dad moved to Houston, Texas in 1937, because Houston had a
tremendous amount of work in his Dad's occupation. Many of the
Jordans and his Mother's maiden name, Jarrell, were all members of
the Church of Christ. His Uncle was an Elder at the Pruett and
Lobit Church of Christ in Baytown, Texas. Ramee became a Christian
at the age of 12.
After
serving in the military during World War II, he went to
Freed-Hardeman College, in Henderson, Tennessee. He attended there
from 1949 to the Spring of 1950. In August of 1950, he was
influenced by a Gospel Minister named Leroy Garrett to come to
Montgomery Bible College, in Montgomery, Alabama.
He later
left College to be with his sad and lonely Dad, because of his
Mother’s passing at the age of 44 years, due to a stroke. After 2
years, his Dad married again and Ramee's father-in-law had a job
in a Chemical Plant, in West Virginia for him. Ramee is retired
now in Fritch, Texas, after working in oil refineries and chemical
plants for 50 years.
